ABSTRACT

New registry classifications of chemical drugs redefined the concepts of new drugs and generic drugs. New drugs emphasize the international innovation including innovate new drugs and modified new drugs. Modified new drugs are improvement of drugs already on the market to achieve superior efficacy. With the advantages of high success rate, high return, low risk and long life cycle, modified new drugs have become the mainstream of new drugs research and development in the world. Modified new drugs R&D in China should be based on clinical demand and focused on the differentiation research in order to obtain new preparations with signif-icant clinical advantages to better serve the clinical practise. This paper states the concept and characteristics of modified new drugs in China, makes case analysis and shares the development history of blockbuster modified new drugs in the world, clarifies the opportuni-ties and challenges and provides ideas for the future development of modified new drugs in China.

ABSTRACT

Military medicine has to restructure itself to meet military needs and e-Science patterns of the information age. This restructuration is known asinformationization of military medicine ( IMM).IMM is a process of vision refresh-ing into information thinking, mission expansion to the information field and paradigm shift to normal forms of information. The result is the emergence of military med-information technologies, military med-information research fields, and military med-informatics disciplines.

ABSTRACT

In an uncertain and dynamic environment, medical research institutions must often balance between the usual medical research and emergent medical research. We interpreted this as a balance between exploitation-oriented innovation and exploration-oriented innovation. We pointed out that a flexible organization can coordinate the competition of scientific research resources between the two kinds of innovation; then we built an organizational flexibility model based on resource flexibility and coordination flexibility, and extended the model to medical research institution. And finally,we discussed the strategies for increasing organizational flexibility.

ABSTRACT

The performance evaluation of science and technology management personnels could stimulate their enthusiasm and advance the development of science. In this article,a 3-dimensional model was set up based on the evaluating criteria, the evaluating objects & the familiarity between the appraiser and the objects, which was simplified from several complicated factors necessary in the process of evaluation.Compared with the traditional methods, this 3D model sheds more light on choosing the critical factors, which helps improve the accuracy and rationality of scientific evaluation.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To provide reference for research and evaluation of core competitiveness of drug research institute. METHODS: Based on the literature review and integrated analysis on the related evaluation methods both at home and abroad, the establishing of evaluation system of core competitiveness of drug research institute was discussed. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: The establishment of evaluation system is of great importance to the understanding and improving of the core competitiveness of drug research institute, however, whether the estsablished evaluation system can fully reflect the core competitiveness of drug research institute or not remains to be further tested and improved.
